Análisis de insolvencia en pymes colombianas del sector de agentes de carga

Resumen

Este estudio tiene como objetivo analizar el riesgo de insolvencia en el sector de agentes de carga en Colombia, con el fin de identificar señales tempranas de quiebra y aportar herramientas para su prevención. Para ello, se aplicaron tres modelos de análisis discriminante: Altman Z-Score, Springate y Taffler & Tisshaw, a partir de información contable correspondiente al período 2019-2023. Cada modelo aborda distintos enfoques financieros: Altman Z-Score combina múltiples indicadores para estimar la probabilidad de quiebra; Springate se centra en la rentabilidad y eficiencia operativa; y Taffler & Tisshaw evalúa la liquidez y solvencia a corto plazo. Además, se utilizó la prueba de independencia Chi Cuadrado que permitió revisar la posible convergencia entre los resultados de los modelos empleados. Los hallazgos muestran que, a pesar de los retos derivados de la pandemia por Covid-19, el sector presentó una baja probabilidad de insolvencia, lo cual sugiere una adecuada gestión financiera por parte de las empresas analizadas. Desde una perspectiva práctica, los modelos aplicados constituyen una herramienta aplicable en la prevención de la quiebra en un sector estratégico de la economía colombiana.
