PÓLIPO DE LA VESÍCULA BILIAR EN PEDIATRÍA A PROPÓSITO DE UN CASO
Introducción
Las lesiones poliposas de la vesícula biliar son una
patología excepcional en pediatría y causante de dolor ab-
dominal recurrente (DAR). Por esta baja incidencia no hay
directrices de cómo actuar ante ellos [2],[4],[8]. Se conoce
muy poco sobre la incidencia de esta patología en niños
pero, se ha reportado en varios artículos que no hay mucha
diferencian entre hombres y mujeres, la media de edad es
de 11 años con un rango de aparición desde los cuatro años
[7],[8]
La clínica es variable; teóricamente podrían obstruir la sa-
lida del cístico y causar cólico biliar, o colestasis y favorecer
una colecistitis, pero la mayoría de las veces la clínica es
inespecíca, con pacientes asintomáticos diagnosticados
como hallazgos casuales o niños con DAR sin síntomas de
organicidad ni alteración de la función hepática [1],[8]
RESUMEN:
Los pólipos de la vesícula biliar (PVB) es una entidad muy rara en edad pediátrica, se ha reportado pocos casos a nivel internacional
y la experiencia en el manejo de estos casos aun es limitada. Se presenta el caso de un niño de 9 años con pólipo de la vesícula biliar
se realiza colecistectomía laparoscópica, además una revisión de esta particular patología, cuadro clínico y tratamiento quirúrgico.
Palabras clave: Pólipo vesicular pediátrico, colecistectomía laparoscópica, lesión poliposa.

Polyps of the gallbladder is a very rare in childhood, few cases have been reported internationally and experience in handling these
cases is still limited. We report the case of a 9-year polyp of the gallbladder laparoscopic cholecystectomy is performed, and a review
of this particular pathology, clinical and surgical treatment.

El método diagnóstico más frecuente es la ecografía, en
la que se evidencia una masa hiperecogénica unida a la
pared, inmóvil y sin sombra acústica y la colecistectomía
laparoscópica es el tratamiento de elección [2],[6],[7],[8].
El objetivo de este artículo es dar a conocer el caso debido
a su rareza en edad pediátrica, demostrar la utilidad de co-
lecistectomía laparoscópica en un paciente con pólipo de la
vesícula biliar (PVB) y el manejo quirúrgico en pacientes
sintomáticos.
Presentación del Caso
Paciente masculino de 9 años de edad, estudiante de raza
mestiza quien acude por presentar desde hace dos años
