Realidad virtual inmersiva para la formación práctica en sistemas neumáticos automatizados

Resumen

La educación tradicional en sistemas neumáticos se enfrenta a obstáculos como los altos costos, el deterioro de los equipos y los riesgos para la seguridad, que limitan las experiencias de aprendizaje práctico. Para hacer frente a estos retos, se crearon un laboratorio de realidad virtual (RV) utilizando las gafas Oculus Quest 2 y Unity 3D, que reproduce elementos neumáticos reales como cilindros, válvulas y sensores. Esta investigación utilizó un método experimental descriptivo, en el que los estudiantes de tecnología en electricidad recibieron instrucción teórica antes de sumergirse en el entorno de realidad virtual, y sus resultados de aprendizaje se evaluaron mediante evaluaciones prácticas y encuestas. Los resultados revelaron que los estudiantes adquirieron una comprensión más profunda de los sistemas neumáticos, mostrando una gran motivación y una participación durante las actividades basadas en la realidad virtual. Además, el laboratorio virtual fue elogiado por su realismo, lo que permitió practicar repetidamente sin las limitaciones del mundo real. No obstante, se señalaron como inconvenientes la falta de retroalimentación de fuerza real y la dependencia del hardware. Los resultados ponen de relieve la capacidad de las tecnologías inmersivas para ampliar el acceso a la formación práctica, al tiempo que se mantienen los estándares educativos.
