Trazabilidad de agroquímicos en el cultivo de papa y su impacto en la salud humana

Resumen

La papa (Solanum tuberosum) se considera el cuarto cultivo más importante a nivel mundial; más de 1,4 mil millones de personas consumen este producto. En América según el CEPAL el 60% de productos consumidos corresponden a algún grado de derivado de la papa, relacionado al incremento de las comidas rápidas. En Ecuador y la región andina este producto tiene gran relevancia socioeconómica, cultural y nutricional, para el 2021 la papa ocupaba los primeros diez puestos de mayor superficie cultivada a nivel nacional, constituyendo el 2,3% de Valor Agregado Bruto Agropecuario y generando 82,999 fuentes de trabajo. Sin embargo, solo el 3% de la semilla de la papa sembrada son de alta calidad y certificación
