Instructions for Authors
All articles included in the journal MEDICIENCIAS UTA. University Journal with Scientific, Academic, Pedagogical, and Social Projection are protected under Creative Commons copyright. Therefore, total or partial reproduction is prohibited without proper recognition of the authors and authorization from the Publications Council. The texts of the articles are open access and may be used by citing the source, preserving the integrity of references, and not for profit. The topics addressed in the different published articles, as well as the opinions expressed, are the sole responsibility of the authors.
Submission Address
Contributions must be submitted through the journal’s platform according to the following manual:
Types of Contributions
Original Articles: Considered as such are those that contain the results of research work (experimental, clinical, pedagogical), original, verifiable, not under review, and not previously published in other journals.
Clinical Case Reports and Essays: Clinical cases are considered those derived from clinical research in individual patients from any medical specialty, containing a critical, analytical, and documented discussion of the current state of knowledge on the subject, with academic, scientific, clinical, pedagogical, or social impact. The manuscript must be unpublished and include sufficient bibliographic references supporting such studies, not under review, and not previously published.
Literature Reviews: Literature reviews include meta-analyses and documentary review articles, developed with the methodological and scientific rigor established for such publications, providing a documented update of knowledge on the subject, with academic, scientific, clinical, pedagogical, or social impact. The manuscript must contain sufficient updated bibliographic references. It must not be under review or previously published.
Editorials: These will be commissioned by the Editorial Committee from experts in Medical and Health Sciences. They must provide an updated opinion on the subject. The manuscript must not be under review or previously published.
