Impact of GDP on the Tax Revenue of Ecuador during the period 2000-2018
Main Article Content
Abstract
The investigation measures the impact of Ecuador's Gross Domestic Product, on the tax collection of Value Added Tax, Income Tax; and, Tariff Duties against Imports, from 2000 to June 2018 with a perspective for short and long term. The results of the long-term tax elasticity were obtained through Ordinary Minimum Squares, and those of the short term with the Error Correction Model. The estimated parameters indicate that given an increase in GDP, the collection of VAT and ISR also increases the Tariff Duties against Imports.
