Focus and scope

Boletín de Coyuntura is a scientific journal published by the Economic and Social Observatory of Tungurahua - OBEST of the Technical University of Ambato - UTA (Ambato-Ecuador), with codes e-ISSN 2600-5727 / p-ISSN 2528-7931, registered in Academia.edu, BASE, Crossref (DOI), Dialnet, DOAJ, Google Scholar, LatinREV, MIAR, REDIB, RERCIE, RRAAE and in the Directory and Catalog 2.0 of Latindex.

Its objective is to contribute to scientific knowledge through the dissemination of original and unpublished scientific research, review and reflection articles, in Spanish and English, focused on: economics, finance, administration and accounting. The journal is aimed at professionals and researchers working in these fields of knowledge.

Authors who wish to participate in the publication process of the journal must review the call for papers, guidelines for authors, peer review process, Editorial Policy and Code of Ethics.

 

Frequency of publication

Boletín de Coyuntura publishes 4 issues per year, quarterly (January-March, April-June, July-September and October-December). The first article of each journal is published in January, April, July and October. Each journal has a minimum of 4 articles. The publication period for the total content of each journal is 8 to 10 weeks.

 

Mode of publication

Boletín de Coyuntura publishes under the continuous flow modality since 2024. The reception of manuscripts is permanent.

 

Arbitration system

The arbitration system of the Boletín de Coyuntura consists of double-blind peer review (the identity of the author and peer reviewers is kept hidden).

 

Open access policy

The journal Boletín de Coyuntura is open access, all content is available free of charge and without charge for the user or their institution. Users can read, download, copy, distribute, print, search or link to the full texts of the articles, or use them for any other legal purpose, without requesting prior permission from the publisher or author and without the need to register, in addition, no There is a content embargo period. All publications of the magazine are under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International license. The articles published in the journal Boletín de Coyuntura have no cost of presentation, processing or publication for the authors.

The Universidad Técnica de Ambato retains the copyright of the published works, and favors and allows the reuse of these, as long as: the authorship and original source of publication is cited, and they are not used for commercial or onerous purposes. The intellectual property of the published articles belongs to the authors.

 

Originality

The articles presented must be unpublished and original (spanish/english), in the research lines of the journal, that have not been previously published in any printed or electronic medium. Authors should not simultaneously/multiplely submit the same article to different publications or publishers. Any socialization of results regarding the written subject may be carried out after the publication of the corresponding Boletín de Coyuntura.

 

Types of articles

Boletín de Coyuntura receives the following types of manuscripts:

Scientific research articles: it is an article that presents in detail, the original results of research projects, it is based on a question, which is attempted to be answered through a structured and reproducible method.

Review articles: it is an article that compiles the most relevant information on a specific topic. It analyzes, systematizes and integrates the results of other research in a given field, in order to account for progress and development trends. Its purpose is to review the published literature and place it in a certain perspective.

Reflection articles: it is a subjective article that presents the result of an investigation from the analytical, interpretative or critical perspective of the author, on a specific topic, supported by other investigations.

 

Anti-plagiarism

All articles received for publication in this journal are subjected to anti-plagiarism review by Turnitin software, where grammatical and orthotypographic coincidences should not exceed 30%, otherwise the article is rejected, ensuring that the works are unpublished and meet the standards of editorial quality that guarantee own scientific production.

 

Digital preservation

All the information in the journal Boletín de Coyuntura is deposited on the servers of the Technical University of Ambato, which produces a monthly backup of its database and quarterly of its server.
