The creation of companies in the European context. Some explanatory factors

Abstract
This study aim is to analyze the phenomenon of business creation from a theoretical perspective and applied to the case of ten European Union countries. First, it performs a systematic review of the literature, paying particular attention to the institutional economic theory. From the empirical point of view, it is carried out an approximation of the explanatory factors. The results suggest the existence of a positive effect on business creation of various factors related to the educational system, scientific and commercial, as well as other factors of an institutional type.
