Software solutions based on artificial intelligence
Vol. 2 No. 1 (2026)This issue of the Journal of Emerging & Sustainable Smart Engineering (JESSE) is devoted to AI-based software solutions designed to address concrete and well-defined problems in real computational contexts. The issue emphasizes the use of artificial intelligence as a supporting and enabling technology within conceived software systems.
The contributions sought for this issue explore how artificial intelligence techniques can be employed to improve decision-making, efficiency, robustness, and usability in software solutions targeting practical challenges faced by industry, public institutions, and regional technological ecosystems. Typical applications include, but are not limited to, intelligent assistance, data-driven optimization, AI-supported analysis, and enhanced user interaction within existing or newly developed systems.
A key concern of this issue is the sustainability of AI-based solutions over time. Authors are encouraged to evaluate how the proposed approaches perform under real constraints, considering aspects such as maintainability, scalability, resource consumption, economic feasibility, and contextual suitability. Comparative analyses and experimental validation of alternative AI-based approaches are particularly valued.
By highlighting applied studies and industry-oriented case analyses, this issue seeks to strengthen the link between artificial intelligence and practical software engineering, promoting responsible, evidence-based, and sustainable adoption of AI technologies to solve specific computational problems.
