Our Mission

The mission of JESSE is to advance and disseminate high-quality, peer-reviewed research in the fields of software, electronic, and industrial engineering, with a strong emphasis on intelligent technologies and the sustainability of engineering solutions.

The journal seeks to foster interdisciplinary collaboration and provide a platform for academic and industry researchers to share innovative approaches that address real-world challenges through smart, scalable, and responsible engineering practices.

Publication Frequency

JESSE is published on a semiannual basis, with two issues released each year. The first issue covers the period January–June and is published in January, while the second issue corresponds to July–December and is published in July. Each issue compiles peer-reviewed research articles evaluated through a double-blind review process in the fields of software, electronic, and industrial engineering, with a particular emphasis on smart and sustainable solutions to real-world engineering challenges. Exceptionally, the inaugural issue was published in December, following the formal approval of the journal’s creation on December 11, 2025, in order to initiate its regular publication cycle without delay.

Sponsorship Statement

This journal is a scientific publication sponsored by Universidad Técnica de Ambato (UTA), a public institution committed to the generation and dissemination of emerging and sustainable smart engineering solutions. UTA provides institutional support while upholding the journal’s editorial independence; all editorial decisions are made autonomously by the editorial team. We charge no fees to authors or readers, ensuring impartiality and transparency in the publication process.
