La salud infantil, ¿víctima o beneficiaria de la comunicación social en Ecuador?

El desarrollo de actividades educativas por los miembros del equipo de salud a nivel individual y comunitario puede favorecer el desarrollo de actitudes saludables. Estas, con el reforzamiento positivo de los medios de comunicación se constituyen en una herramienta favorecedora para el desarrollo de hábitos y estilos de vida sanos. No obstante, son insuficientes los espacios especializados en los medios de comunicación en Salud infantil con información en cantidad y calidad apropiadas que propicien la participación de y generen interacción con la ciudadanía en la búsqueda del cambio de actitudes y comportamientos sobre la salud de los niños y niñas en la población. El presente artículo tiene como finalidad analizar la participación de la temática de salud infantil en la comunicación social en el Ecuador.
