CONSECUENCIAS PSICOLÓGICAS DURANTE EL ENTRENAMIENTO EN ALTURA CON ATLETAS DE ÉLITE

Resumen

La presente investigación en Psicología del Deporte se orienta a identificar los efectos psicológicos que causa el entrenamien- to de 21 días en altura con atletas élite que practican las disciplinas de natación, ciclismo de montaña, judo, boxeo y triatlón; a la par se evalúa subjetivamente el grado de impacto de la intervención psicológica con un programa de preparación mental durante este lapso  de tiempo. La investigación se realizó durante los campamentos de preparación  deportiva en condiciones de altura  en  la ciudad  de Cuenca, con una  muestra mixta total de 45 sujetos (20 varones y 25 mujeres) de distintos  países; durante los años 2007  al 2012,  a quienes se les aplican  la Escala de Estrés Percibido de Borg, POMS  (test  de estados de ánimo)  y Ways  of Coping  Check  List (adaptado al deporte) para  obtener los resultados en  cuanto a estrés y agotamiento proyectado entre  el octavo  y día veintiuno  de aclimatación. Los resultados finales  indican  una  adaptación psicológica en las escalas de estrés y adaptación entre  la primera  evaluación (día 8) y el día 20 (retest); llegando a la conclusión que el progra- ma de entrenamiento mental aplicado afectó positiva y directamente a los deportistas, mejorando los procesos psíquicos de aclimatación y rendimiento.

 ABSTRACT


 This research in Sport Psychology is aimed to identify the psychological effects caused by the training of 21 days in heighland with elite athletes who practice the disciplines of swimming, mountain biking, judo, boxing and triathlon; alongside the degree of impact  of psychological intervention with a program of mental  preparation during  this period  was  subjectively evaluated. The research was done during sports training camps in conditions highland in the city of Cuenca, with a total mixed sample of 45 subjects (20 men and 25 women)  from different countries; during the years 2007 to 2012,  who were applied  the Perceived Stress Scale Borg, POMS  (test  of moods) and  Ways  of Coping  Check  List (adapted sports) for results in terms  of stress and exhaustion projected between the twenty-eighth day of acclimatization. The final results indicate  a psychological adjustment on the scales of stress and adaptation between the first assessment (8th) and day 20 (retest); concluding that the mental  tra- ining program applied  directly and positively affect athletes, improving mental  processes of acclimatization and performance.
