Abstract

Entrepreneurship in the world is an important systemic process that stimulates the economy and generates sources of employment. In Ecuador there is a high entrepreneurial spirit that combines motivations of opportunity and need, which has been affected by the health pandemic that the world is experiencing. In this context, the objective of this research is to analyze entrepreneurship through a practical case and its particularities during the COVID-19 era. The methodology is mixed, based on Empty Spaces, combining a quantitative analysis based on primary data and a qualitative analysis from secondary information sources. Among the main results it is highlighted that entrepreneurship is the result of the combination of several ingredients that, properly combined, as in the practical case, can generate sustainable businesses.
