Approximation to contemporary elements related to the use of legal drugs in adolescents

Abstract

Drugs are substances of natural or artificial origin whose frequent consumption leads to the progressive need to increase the doses and to the enslaving requirement of the consumption of the drug whose irresponsible use conditions serious damages to the individual, relatives and society. Such substances may be legal, their consumption is sometimes accepted by law, or illegal, or not legally accepted (whose consumption leads to a crime). The most harmful drug known to date is alcohol (consumed irresponsibly), as in addition to personal injury psychological, social, cultural and spiritual damages, affecting the behavior of the person ingested. Education and information for young people, in terms of the type of substance that exists and the risks inherent in their use, is in many countries the best way to prevent and avoid the use of such drugs. This review sets forth several aspects of reflection on a topical issue that affects a considerable proportion of society, so it is very important to prevent the use of legal drugs (such as tobacco and alcohol) that begin to be ingested Usually from early ages, and act as precursors for development in the adult stage of chronic diseases.
