Abstract

The present work addresses the concern mothers and college students: the relationship between school dropout and / or school interruption. The case of” Facultad de Jurisprudencia y Ciencias Sociales “from “Universidad Técnica de Ambato-Ecuador”. The main objective of this research is to identify the gender determinants, and the support received for the students to remain in the faculty. A mixed research approach was used. Attempts were made to investigate the support received by the student mothers as a possible reconciliation to the problem, resulting in the almost entirely mother students receiving support from their families to complete their university studies.
