Abstract

This article presents a systematic review on the use of web information systems in commercial management, with the objective of identifying the most used technologies and evaluating their impact on the operational efficiency of companies. Through the analysis of 30 research articles published between 2018 and 2024, the predominant trends in the use of frameworks, database managers and programming languages were identified. The results show that Laravel is the most used framework, followed by ReactJS, while MySQL dominates as a database management system. Additionally, JavaScript and PHP are the preferred programming languages. Web applications have been shown to significantly improve efficiency in key areas such as inventory management, process automation, and customer service. These findings underscore the importance of adopting web technologies to remain competitive in today's business environment.
