Strategies to Counter the COVID-19 Pandemic

Abstract

Introduction: The research is oriented to the study of strategies to counteract infections caused by covid 19, a pandemic which alerted the world since its spread is quick, so it has put the entire society and health systems of the world to the test in all aspects of health and sanitation. Humanity has had hits from other pandemics, however, this has been one of the diseases with a character of great viral potential.


Objective: Evaluate current virus content by conducting research to mitigate disease infections in people, emphasizing prevention strategies that have been conducted during the Covid 19 pandemic.


Material and methods: The performance compilation of research of documents about this scathing disease that has spread all over the legion, in purpose to highlight the strategies to prevent the increase of infections. Secondary sources of information have also been compiled, methods that have been used by national and international states, applying an analytical and documentary methodology.


Results: At the international level, the population adapted to curfews with established schedules; and as a consequence of the confinement, the economic movement has stopped. Import channels were suspended, in addition the educational system was coupled to virtual education. The social control carried out on people and the studies to obtain antidotes are in process for total assertiveness. The current situation is emphasized, taking as an example the tactics of countries such as Germany, New Zealand and Taiwan, which have countered the crisis with drastic methods and population management in each sector by making restrictions on localities, strictly adhering to social distancing and compliance with quarantine, taking into account the symptoms and the most vulnerable population.


Conclusions: People have the responsibility to properly inform themselves about the situation that is being experienced and the set of strategies adopted to try to counteract the pandemic. Protecting the majority of the world's population from contagion has become a priority, as has engaging in a new lifestyle and normalcy with retraction.
