Abstract

The generation and application of knowledge is a fundamental pillar for the social and economic development of a people; it enables the understanding of phenomena in our environment, as well as the resolution of problems and the prevention of unfortunate events.


Current circumstances lead us to question the problem-solving capacity and the possibilities for change and adaptation that we face as a society. History has shown us that the separation of a state from science plunges nations into a selective obscurantism with disastrous consequences in the short, medium, and long term
