Determination of risk factors in the increased prevalence of heart and brain diseases vascular in teachers, employees and U.T.A workers

Abstract
This research was to determine the cardiovascular risk factors for which was performed a descriptive cross study ware participated more than 100 employees and teachers from the Technical Universityof Ambato eider than 40 years oíd. The study focused on the analysis of data from anthropometric parameters suchas the body mass Índex, height, and weight; blood pressure; family history, and chemical tests from a blood sample, aiso studied the dietary habits and physical activity and Inactivity. The findings suggest that nearly 50%of the University population under study were are at risk of cardio and brain vascular disease and mostiy refers to modifiable causes. So we had that 40 %of patients presented hypercholesterolemia, one of
the major cardiovascular risk factors, 55 per cent had higher than 200 mg/dl and them most have a family history with arterial hypertension and Diabetes A 56.76 % of Universitystaffserviced presents triglycerides valúes >to 150mg/dl. Inthe 77.47 %body mass index presented overweíght,whilea 16.9 per cent of assessed peoplehad BMl valúes > considered obese 30.
