Main Article Content
Abstract
The sociological classification of a timeline using generational taxonomy has allowed the last generations of the 20th century and the first generations of the 21st century to be grouped into groups such as "S" or Silent, Baby Boomers, Generation X, Y, Millenials, etc. and characterize its particularities with outstanding features that define and differentiate it from each other; Therefore, this study seeks to identify the generational groups of teachers in the Ecuadorian province of Sucumbíos, the most relevant being Baby Boomers and those of Generation X. It is a quantitative, descriptive study, with non-probability sampling and no experimental. It is concluded that there is a hybridization of teaching generations that are present in the provincial educational system and that are the protagonists of the training of present and future generations, and that therefore require certain changes and modifications in their pedagogical practices in pro to improve the quality of local and provincial education.
