Abstract

Introduction: Talardislocations are very rare cases that do not occur as frequently and less if they are associated with fractures of the navicular bone and tibial pilon, so it has been considered a very interesting clinical case to share with readers, finding no record some with this type of lesion associated with a tibial Pilon fracture, the following article being a unique case when reporting it.

Objective: To describe a clinical surgical case of navicular talus luxofracture associated with tibial pilon fractures with ankle instability.

Material and methods: Descriptive -retrospective study, presentation of a clinical case. Results: A 39-year-old male patient has a high-energy accident while practicing “DRIFT TRIKE” wheeled sports where he suffers a direct impact of his left foot, complementary tests are carried out reaching the diagnosis of luxo navicular talo fracture associated with a fractured tibial pylon with ankle instability. The surgical treatment was carried out by means of open reduction, more fixation withkirschner nails and percutaneous reduction with a syndesmosis stabilizing system giving us excellent biomechanical and functional results with a quick ambulation.
