Abstract

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has emerged as a transformative force in various areas, including human psychology. Its integration has unveiled a spectrum of opportunities and challenges in mental health care. AI holds the potential to personalize therapies, predict behavioral patterns, and enhance accessibility to treatments. However, its intersection with human psychology has highlighted ethical dilemmas, from biases in algorithms to concerns about privacy and autonomy. Furthermore, the relationship between humans and technology has revealed a "psychological distance" that needs addressing for harmonious coexistence. It is vital to reflect on AI's psychological impact on society and collaboratively work to ensure its ethical and beneficial development. This article addresses the history and evolution of AI, its impact on human psychology, ethical implications, benefits and challenges in mental health, and proposes strategies for a harmonious coexistence between AI and human psychology.
