COACHING AND THE TRANSFORMATION IN THE ORGANIZATIONAL MANAGEMENT OF THE HEALTH SYSTEM

Abstract

Introduction: Coaching is an effective management tool that emerges as a paradigm for the transformation of the organizational management of the health system. Objective: To analyze, through a systematic review, the scientific evidence published in the different databases on coaching and transformation in the organizational management of the health system, during the period from January 2017 to July 2022. Methods: it is based on Evidence-Based Medicine (EBM), in a systematic review. The PICO strategy was implemented to generate the research question: Does coaching influence the transformation of the organizational management of the health system? from which keywords were obtained according to the DeCS and MeSH such as: Coaching, coach, coaches, hospitals, organizational transformation, organizational climate and human talent. The search was carried out in different databases of senior management publications, institutional repositories, Dialnet, Redalycs and Google Scholar. The search considered scientific articles and special degree work published in the last 5 years, in English and Spanish, those with duplication were eliminated. Results: High scientific evidence was confirmed in the 9 selected articles, according to the FLC 3.0 critical reading tool. Conclusions: Coaching promotes a sense of belonging, personal satisfaction, motivation, camaraderie and teamwork in order to win – win
