Abstract

Pain is the faithful companion of humanity, creating a long history of sensations through time and the moment in which it develops. It has been named as one of the most frequent symptoms at health levels, thus generating different questions for researchers. Their care from the point of view of care becomes complex, demonstrating a high level of mastery due to its different factors, such as physical typologies of the patient (weight, gender, age, culture...), psychosocial factors such as expectation and catastrophism or components social that include the context or individual perception of pain. The medical approach to this symptom must rest on the knowledge of the pathophysiology and the use of means that carry with it an appreciation of its origin and evolution, to adjust different analgesic strategies that concern it. Pain management in pediatric patients continues to be a challenge for physicians, due to the implanted differences in pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics between neonates, infants and children. Thus, analgesics are categorized in Pediatric matters as the group of drugs most used and their indication establishes a series of singularities that have been verified in the international scientific literature, thus proving to be a sensitive treatment area. With the intention of establishing application standards and means of recommendation for the evaluation of pediatric pain management, it is essential to carry out an investigation that determines the magnitude of the problem to be treated and thus the factors that influence pediatric pain management can be identified. and problems related to the treatment given to it.
